WHO WOULD BE A GOOD FIT

Ashaya is just getting started but the ethos of Ashaya has been in process for over three years. There is clarity in its vision and its mission after years of field and secondary research. But there is still a lot more to figure out.

We are looking for someone who can optimize our technical work with support in the more administrative functions of accounting, procurement and operations.

A degree is not essential, we are looking for someone who:

  • Is aligned with Ashaya’s vision, mission and guiding principles.
  • Embodies Ashaya’s values of Truth, Grit and Optimism.
  • Has basic operations management experience and knowledge (ideally 1-2 years of experience).
  • Has the confidence and the ability to procure raw materials, chemicals and other office supplies as needed.
  • Has the humility to help out in doing even the smallest tasks in our lab.
  • Is a learner, a doer and a self-starter, looking to grow as an individual on a technical and personal level.
  • Has a drivers license and is comfortable driving around in Pune on both a 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler (for picking up supplies as needed).
  • Lives in Pune and is willing to work in Bhosari MIDC, Pune, India.

You will:

  • Own all the basic operations work at Ashaya (expense management, supply, maintenance, procurement, vendor relations).
  • Be the lab manager who is in charge of sourcing, ordering and collecting (or organizing collection) of all supplies needed in the lab which include chemicals, raw materials and office supplies.

  • Support our overall operations by helping out with recruiting, pilot-planning, the patenting process, testing, etc as needed.

  • Work closely with the rest of the team in a fast-paced, energetic, start-up environment to optimize our organization to perform at its peak. This includes being open to doing the smallest of tasks, in addition to the more complex ones.
  • Be a part of the founding team to shape Ashaya’s goals, its culture and its future.

Your compensation:

We care about you and your growth and in that regard, this is what we offer:
  • An annual Cost to Company (C2C) of Rs 2.4L (this is non-negotiable).
  • Equity in the legal entity that vests over an agreed-to tenure.
  • A 3-month mutual incubation period. Both you and we will have an option to end the agreement after three months if it isn’t working out.
  • We provide benefits such as health insurance, flexible work hours (including unmonitored vacation) and Provident Fund contributions.
  • We believe in self-management (non-hierarchical) where nobody reports to anybody, but instead, we hold each other accountable to outcomes and processes.

First Round Interview

30-minute video call with plenty of time for you to ask questions

Second Round Interview

1 – 2 hour in-person interview which includes practical tasks that test your knowledge of accounting, computers and driving a 4-wheeler.

Additional Rounds

We will have as many rounds of interviews as required to make sure we find the right fit.
