This is a 3-month, paid internship opportunity and can be remote. This position also has the potential to convert into a full-time role.

Even though we call this role an “internship”, we don’t consider our interns as conventional interns, we consider them to be just like the rest of us.

WHO WOULD BE A GOOD FIT

Primarily, the skill-gap that needs to be filled is around computational chemistry. We are seeking someone who brings in that magical combination of computer engineering and chemical engineering.

A degree is not essential, we are looking for someone who:

  • Is aligned with Ashaya’s vision, mission and its guiding principles.
  • Embodies Ashaya’s values of Truth, Grit and Optimism.
  • Has expertise in molecular dynamics, an ability to code and build / run models and simulations with macro / polymer molecules.
  • Has access to and experience in existing / open-sourced molecular dynamics software, along with basic hardware (laptop / desktop) to run required software.
  • Loves to solve complex problems while embracing uncertainty.
  • Is a learner and a doer, looking to grow as an individual on a technical and personal level.
  • Is willing to work remotely or locally here in Pune, India.

You will:

  • Create, own and drive polymeric / molecular simulations.
  • Work closely with us in the overall research and development process to make Ashaya a cutting-edge organization in the waste recycling space.
  • Have an opportunity to work on additional side projects that add value to our overarching mission.

Your compensation:

For starters, we envision this to be a 3-month stint during which you will:
  • Receive a monthly stipend of Rs 10,000.
  • Have the opportunity for this to convert into a full-time position with higher compensation if you’re a good fit and are adding significant value.
  • Have access to equity options if you’re onboarded as a full-time employee.
  • Have a chance to learn and grow in a fast-paced, early-stage, impact start-up.
THE PROCESS

First Round Interview

30-60 minute video call with plenty of time for you to ask questions

Second Round Interview

1 – 2 hour long-form interview, case-based (an assignment will be given beforehand that will be reviewed together during the interview)

Additional Rounds

We will have as many rounds of interviews as required to make sure we find the right fit.
